  • London Global Cancer Week: Utilizing Cancer Research Funding to Inform Action and Drive Collaboration

    NCI/CGH recognizes the importance of working in collaboration with researchers and research funding partners to track, share, and encourage utilization of data, to drive global cancer research and control action. This session will give an overview of three efforts to map and track global cancer research and research funding, led by the International Cancer Research Partnership (ICRP), World View (formerly World Report) hosted by the National institutes of Health, and the NCI/CGH through the Global Oncology Survey of NCI-Designated Cancer Centers.

  • International Cancer Screening Network (ICSN) Colorectal Cancer Screening Webinar

    ICSN has will host an interactive webinar and panel discussion entitled, "The Impact of COVID-19 on Colorectal Cancer (CRC) Screening Activity: Results from the Survey on 2020 Activity and Modeling their Impact on Long-term CRC Incidence and Mortality." The agenda focuses on survey data, and results of simulation modeling from the International Partnership for Resilience in Cancer Systems (I-PaRCS) on the impact of the observed disruptions on long-term CRC incidence and mortality; and qualitative analysis of the characteristics of programs showing a more effective response to the pandemic.

  • The 18th International Conference on Malignancies in HIV/AIDS

    Join NCI's Office of HIV and AIDS Malignancy (OHAM) at the 18th International Conference on Malignancies in HIV/AIDS (ICMH). The 3-day conference, sponsored by OHAM, focuses on the presentation of basic, epidemiologic, and clinical aspects of research on malignancies in HIV-infected individuals; and enables information exchange between laboratory and clinically based investigators to decrease the interval between basic discovery and clinical application. ICMH is organized to provide informational and networking resources for people in the U.S. and globally, participating in malignancy research in HIV/AIDS and in tumor virology.

  • Global Cancer Stigma Research Workshop

    Dr. Satish Gopal gave opening remarks at the National Cancer Institute's (NCI) Global Cancer Stigma Research Workshop. The 2-day workshop was sponsored by NCI's Center for Global Health (CGH) and Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS), and focused on the impact of stigma on global cancer control, and the domestic and global cancer stigma research conducted by NIH/NCI grantees. Participants explored research gaps for measuring stigma and developing context-specific stigma reduction interventions within the cancer care continuum in diverse global settings.
