As an enterprise NCI is committed to ending structural racism within the biomedical research community. Dedication to this goal is not only limited to the Equity and Inclusion Program (EIP), but extends across many of the divisions, offices, and centers within NCI who are also thoroughly engaged in improving access and awareness to equity, diversity, and inclusion. NCI staff have published and presented commentaries, news, and updates about health equity and the EIP. This page lists a selection of the updates that have been presented to the cancer community and the public over the last three years.

Dialogue on Disparities is a blog written and produced by the Center to Reduce Cancer Health Disparities (CRCHD). The blog is designed to share the latest updates, spotlights, funding announcements and news from CRCHD, especially as it relates to health disparities, equity, diversity, and inclusion. Division of Cancer Epidemiology & Genetics (DCEG) Inclusivity Minute
The Inclusivity Minute Email Project is a joint effort between the DCEG Fellows Committee and the Office of the Director to cultivate a culture of inclusion in the Division. The goal is to introduce DCEG staff to topics related to diversity and inclusion that they might not already be familiar with and to provide resources to learn more. NCI DCCPS Addresses Health Disparities

The National Cancer Institute (NCI) hosted a Facebook Live event on A Dialogue on Cancer Disparities, Prevention, and Research. The event featured Worta McCaskill-Stevens, M.D., M.S., National Cancer Institute, Brid M. Ryan, Ph.D., M.P.H., National Cancer Institute, and Christina Dieli-Conwright, Ph.D., M.P.H., University of Southern California. They discussed cancer disparities, and the work being done to help reduce cancer disparities.
