The Center for Strategic Scientific Initiatives (CSSI) is an extramural research office within NCI that develops and coordinates cancer research grant programs, events, and resources and manages the reporting of NCI's funded portfolio. CSSI works closely with other offices within NCI and with the extramural research community to identify and create opportunities to advance cancer research and improve clinical care.
