Fatou Jallow, Ph.D., is a Program Director at the Center for Global Health (CGH) in the Research and Training (R&T) Branch. In her current role, she leads and manages projects aimed at engaging and supporting early-career investigators pursuing a career in global cancer research in low-and-middle-income countries (LMICs), and focused on facilitating implementation strategies to improve cervical cancer screening and treatment in LMICs. She also provides leadership in the development and implementation of global research training activities, initiatives, and strategic planning. Dr. Jallow supports program activities for CGH’s Implementation Science Research portfolio and Global Research Training portfolio.
Prior to her transition to CGH, Dr. Jallow was a two-year American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) fellow at USAID, Bureau of Global Health, Office of Population and Reproductive Health. As a Research Advisor, she provided strategic guidance on the development of family planning programs in LMICs and assisted in program management. Dr. Jallow earned her Ph.D. in endocrinology and reproductive physiology from the University of Wisconsin–Madison.
