Amina Chtourou, M.P.H
Amina Chtourou, M.P.H., is a Health Scientist Administrator at the Center for Global Health (CGH). Ms. Chtourou joined CGH in August 2024 and her role involves inclusive work focused on global cancer research and control, communities of practice, international partnerships, and global data projects. Including projects and programs related to cancer surveillance and data, cervical cancer data, and the International Cancer Control Partnership.
Amina joined NCI in 2022 as a Presidential Management Fellow (PMF). As a PMF, she completed rotations at CGH, the Division of Cancer Prevention (DCP) with the Breast and Gynecologic Cancer Research Group, USAID’s Bureau for Global Health, NCI’s Office of Government and Congressional Relations, and the Surveillance Research Program in the Division of Cancer Control and Population Sciences (DCCPS). Amina has a rich background in epidemiology and public health. During her PMF, she completed analyses of Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results Program (SEER) data, a topical portfolio analysis of portfolio analysis on implementation science research in low- and middle- income countries (LMICs) funded by NIH, and analyzed USAID’s cervical cancer monitoring and evaluation data.
Ms. Chtourou earned her M.P.H. with a concentration in epidemiology from the University of Pittsburgh while working at the Allegheny County Health Department conducting overdose surveillance, with a focus on data analytics and visualization. Amina also has a B.S. in neuroscience with a certificate in global health from the University of Pittsburgh.
