Cancer Patient Education Network (CPEN)
The Cancer Patient Education Network (CPEN) is a professional society of healthcare providers who share experiences and best practices on all aspects of cancer patient education. Members include health educators, nurses, chaplains, social workers, researchers, and others who have an aspect of their job dedicated to cancer patient education. It originally began at NCI and is now an independent non-profit organization.
CPEN promotes and provides models of excellence in patient, family, and community education across the continuum of care through networking, mentoring, collaborating, and sharing best practice resources and evidence-based research.
