Office of Budget and Finance (OBF)

The Fact Book contains distribution of the NCI fiscal year budget among various research programs and funding mechanisms, funding policies influencing grant awards, comparisons with prior year allocations, overall budget data, and historical trends.

OBF manages the donations that NCI receives from the public, including funds received through the Breast Cancer Research Stamp.

OBF conducts financial analyses and develops financial data related to the NCI budget for documents such as the President’s Budget Request for NCI, the NCI Annual Plan and Professional Judgment Budget, and the financial components of the NCI Fact Book.

OBF advises the NCI Office of the Director and senior NCI staff on the effective management of financial, personnel and other resources to ensure that NCI operates in an efficient and fiscally responsible manner.
