Women, Power, and Cancer: A Lancet Commission
The new report, Women, power, and cancer: A Lancet Commission, brings together a multidisciplinary and diverse team from around the globe, including scholars with expertise in gender studies, human rights, law, economics, social sciences, cancer epidemiology, prevention, and treatment, as well as patient advocates, to analyze how women around the world experience cancer, and to provide recommendations to policy makers, governments, civil society, and health and social care systems. The report presents key findings and proposes a set of recommendations to inspire real-world action for transformational change.

US and Costa Rica Renew Commitment to Collaborate in Cervical Cancer Prevention Research
On August 29th, 2023, the United States National Cancer Institute and the Caja Costarricense de Seguro Social of Costa Rica renewed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to reaffirm the 30-year bilateral collaboration and commitment to cervical cancer prevention research. President Rodrigo Chaves Robles of Costa Rica attended the signing ceremony.

US-Republic of Korea Cooperation in Biomedical Research
NCI hosted the Korean Delegation visit which included leadership from the Korean Ministry of Health, National Cancer Center Korea, and Korea Health Industry Development Institute to discuss current and future cancer research cooperation between NCI and NCC Korea.
