The National Cancer Institute Center for Global Health in partnership with the Consortium of Universities for Global Health; The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center; Baylor College of Medicine Dan L Duncan Comprehensive Cancer Center; Sidney Kimmel Comprehensive Cancer Center at Johns Hopkins University; American Society of Clinical Oncology; and American Association for Cancer Research hosted the 9th Annual Symposium on Global Cancer Research (ASGCR2021) virtually on March 10-11, 2021, preceding the 12th Annual Consortium of Universities for Global Health Conference.
The virtual format allowed for diverse and inclusive participation by over 400 attendees from 70 countries, 25+ speakers from 12 countries, and sharing of research conducted in 68 countries. The highly interactive two-day program explored the science and complex considerations around resilience and equity in global cancer research and control. The accepted scientific abstracts will be published later in 2021 in a special supplement of AACR’s Cancer Epidemiology, Biomarkers and Prevention.
