Embracing the Complexity: Transdisciplinary Approaches to Advance the Science of Cancer Health Disparities
August 31, 2023 | 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM
NCI will host a series of three virtual interactive workshops designed to broadly engage a diverse community in small interactive discussions to brainstorm and share new ideas and research approaches to address the complexities and advance the science of cancer health disparities (CHD) that cut across disciplines. Registration is free and open.
The virtual workshops are designed to be intense, interactive, and free-thinking, involving a broad range of expertise. The workshops build on existing theoretical frameworks, methodological approaches, and research across disciplines, community engagement, as well as on themes gathered from a recent request for information and listening session. Participants will identify unique research opportunities and collaboratively examine approaches that cut across disciplines to advance sustainable solutions to reduce cancer health disparities and accelerate progress towards equity in cancer control for all populations.
Do YOU have bold ideas on how to advance research to accelerate progress towards cancer health equity? Are you open to collaboratively explore ‘out-of-the-box’ approaches outside your usual area of work? Be part of the solution!
