Progress in improving global cancer surgery access and delivery has been too slow to meet rising demand—a new Lancet Oncology Commission puts forward pragmatic, geographically contextualized solutions for transformative and equitable change. The second Lancet Oncology Commission on Global Cancer Surgery highlights practical and region-specific policies and solutions to improve access to safe, timely, and affordable cancer surgery globally.

In this Lancet webinar, several authors of the Lancet Oncology Commission, including Dr. Satish Gopal, will present the key findings of the report and their recommendations for further action:

• within nine key domains of surgical oncology
• within the six WHO regions
• identifying eight policies relevant to cancer surgeons and oncologists; leaders, administrators, elected officials, and health policy advocates

The webinar will conclude with an audience Q & A session. This Lancet webinar is organized as part of London Global Cancer Week, hosted by the Lancet Oncology.
