On June 9th, NCI Center for Global Health (CGH) Director, Dr. Satish Gopal presented the Keynote Address “Looking Ahead in Global Cancer Research and Control” at the 2021 Virtual Cancer and Primary Care Research International (Ca-PRI) Network Conference.

Dr. Gopal discussed global cancer research and control from the perspective of CGH, in the context of the ongoing COVID-19 global pandemic and with a particular focus on low- and middle-income countries. He explained how the cancer research and control community can help address global cancer burden, realize important scientific opportunities, and promote research and health equity.

Ca-PRI is an open, multidisciplinary network for researchers in primary cancer care and related areas and welcomes researchers from all disciplines related to research and development in the fields of cancer in primary care.
