Use in Cancer
Iobenguane I 131 is approved to treat:
- Pheochromocytoma or paraganglioma that is malignant and requires systemic anticancer therapy. It is used in adults and children aged 12 years or older whose iobenguane scan was positive and whose disease is locally advanced, has spread to other parts of the body, or cannot be removed by surgery.
Iobenguane I 131 is also being studied in the treatment of other types of cancer.
