NCI Leadership Presentations
Dr. Bertagnolli will present during the AACR Opening Plenary on the morning of Sunday, April 16. Sunday afternoon, she will participate in a session titled, "President Biden's Cancer Moonshot Reignited," from 1:00–2:15 p.m. ET. In addition, she will provide the NCI Director’s Address on Monday, April 17 from 10:15–11:00 a.m. ET, which will include a Fireside Chat with the 2022–2023 AACR President Dr. Lisa Coussens.
NCI Leader Elected to AACR Academy Class of 2023
Stephen J. Chanock, M.D., Director of NCI's Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG), has been elected as a Fellow of the AACR Academy Class of 2023. He is being recognized and honored "for pioneering efforts dedicated to defining detectable clonal mosaicism and for impactful research focused on the discovery and characterization of cancer susceptibility regions in the human genome, directly enhancing our understanding of the association between inherited genetic variants and cancer risk."
NCI Investigator to Present During AACR Opening Plenary
Robert Yarchoan, M.D., Chief of NCI's HIV and AIDS Malignancy Branch, and senior investigator in NCI's Center for Cancer Research, will present during the AACR Opening Plenary Session: Advancing the Frontiers of Cancer Science and Medicine. His presentation will be on "Malignancies in people with HIV: Successes and challenges at the intersection of virology, immunology, and oncology."
