Research Associate III, Immunology (C)
Mr. Neun is the primary technician responsible for endotoxin and sterility pre-screening of all materials submitted to the Nanotechnology Characterization Laboratory (NCL). He also functions as the radiation area supervisor for the NCL Radiation Program. As part of the immunology section, Barry performs various hematology and immunotoxicity assays, which further help characterize the submitted nanomaterial. Other duties have included training of visiting scientists and technicians, some of whom have helped establish a European version of the NCL. Mr. Neun has also participated in mentoring many student interns from the Werner H. Kirsten Student Intern Program and Cancer Research Training Award summer fellowship.
