Fanta Whiting

Program Associate Director
Division of Cancer Biology (DCB)

Fanta Whiting helps manage R03, R15, and R50 grants related to cancer metastasis. 

Ms. Whiting says, “becoming a program associate director gives me the opportunity to have insight into the processes and approaches for providing optimal support to the basic cancer research community.” 

She also has a special interest in NIH’s various diversity and inclusion workgroups. 

 

Background: 

Prior to DCB, Fanta worked as a Program Analyst at the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI). 

She came to DCB because she wanted to view the science from a broader perspective.
