Examples of Dominantly Inherited Cancer Syndromes

Hereditary cancer syndromes are relatively uncommon, accounting for only about 5 to 10 percent of all cancers. Nevetheless, as many as 50,000 cancers newly diagnosed in the U.S. each year are associated with a hereditary syndrome.
