Use in Cancer
Lanreotide acetate is approved to treat:
- Gastroenteropancreatic neuroendocrine tumors. It is used in some adults whose tumors cannot be removed by surgery, are locally advanced, or have metastasized (spread to other parts of the body).
- Carcinoid syndrome in adults.
Lanreotide acetate is also being studied in the treatment of other conditions or types of cancer.
